2015 Audi Q5 – Changes
Since its launch in 2008, Audi Q5 has been one of the most popular luxury crossover SUVs on the market. Now the German automakers are presenting the new upgraded model for 2015. The biggest changes are made in the form of the new power units. Also, the exterior and the interior of the car are getting some modifications.
2015 Audi Q5 – Design
The 2015 Audi Q5 will keep its elegant and sophisticated design, both inside and outside of the car. This time the changes of the appearance will make it look more modern, thanks to the simple design without many flashy details. Its dimensions will remain the same. It will be made of light materials. Therefore, the fuel economy and performance of the car will be improved. Sleek lines, a rounded roof and the new dimensions of the hood will improve aerodynamics. Distinctive Audi logo with four rings and redesigned headlights with xenon and LED daytime lights, along with the chrome details, lay on the front of the car. On the back side, there is a large and unusual shaped tailgate, with roof spoiler above. Wheels are also redesigned. You can choose a range of 17 to 20 inch wheels. The interior of the new Q5 did not go through major changes, since its design was modern and luxurious from the beginning. Improvements mainly include new technology features, and upgrades of the existing systems. Some of those worth mentioning are satellite navigation, multimedia interface, three-zone climate control etc. The cabin will be able to accommodate five passengers.
2015 Audi Q5 – Engine
Five different engine options will be available under the hood of the new 2015 Audi Q5. Firstly, there is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine which develops 220 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. It will be mated with an eight speed automatic gearbox. Furthermore, a line of powerful 3.0-liter engines will be in option. Also, it is announced that the hybrid version will also be available. It will be able to generate 250 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque.
2015 Audi Q5 – Release date
The new Audi Q5 will be available by the end of the year in Europe, and in the beginning of the 2015 for the customers in America. Its official price has not yet been revealed. It is estimated that the standard model will cost around $37,000.
